DIY STUDDED CLOGS
I got extremely bored with my clogs because I kept seeing them on the street.
So what better way to differentiate them than to stud them!
This was really really quick, I actually did it on the spur of the moment before I left the house. I wanted to wear my clogs but I spied my spikes sitting near them.
They were calling out to me.
I did it in about 15-20 minutes, and ended up being half an hour late for class.
But it was worth it. Hee.
So all you need are
- your shoes, preferably something with a thinner fabric, those plastic rubber melissa-esque shoes are a no go.
- spikes
- something to make a hole with, I used a tiny screwdriver
Decide on the arrangement of your spikes and then start poking holes with your sharp item. Unscrew the bottom part of your spike, insert into the hole [ this takes quite a bit of effort, especially if your hole is tiny ] then screw your spike on! REPEAT.
AND YOU NOW HAVE SHOES THAT LOOK BRAND NEW! more or less.
Now go out and flaunt it. Just be careful not to hurt anyone. Or maybe you do. I could think of someone right now that I’d love to give a kick with those on.
flowy capes and pretty sunlight under a foliage of leaves all sound so dreamy.
BUT IN REALITY IT REALLY IS JUST TERRIBLY HOT, and under all that composure is a deep worry that a huge bug might land on your bare leg any time.
Tramping around a grassy VERY HOT AND SUNNY field is all worth it when you see lovely photos. Up as promised! Posting in sets (:
Mucho Gracias, Rebecca. My lovely photographer.
